Shia Activist Escapes Car Blast Near Azizabad Hussayniyah

Karachi (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Jafar Imam, a Shia activist of BuTurab Scout was unhurt in a car bomb blast that exploded in Garibabad area of Azizabad near a Shiite Hussayniyah (religious place for mourning and worship) in Karachi on Tuesday 31 July 2013.The bomb was planted in a vehicle No. AFP 155, where Shiite procession was also scheduled after a while.The bomb was planted in the Corey vehicle that belongs to Shia activist Jafar Imam, who has received death threats from the terrorists of Sipah-e-Sahaba.It went off when he left work to visit his brother in Azizabad. Luckily, he had already left the car a few minutes before the blast and hence, no casualties occurred whatsoever. However, his car was completely destroyed.Jafar Imam is also General Secretary of Sarena Mobile Market, he was scheduled to meet his brother  in Azizabad at his residence, where  after few minutes blast occured in his vehicle and not casualty reported.Sipah-e-Sahaba have targeted Shiites through bomb blasts and individual attacks on numerous occasions before. The security agencies seem to have left the people at the mercy of the terrorists./129
